There was a head-on collision between two bikes in Samastipur last night in which two people died while 4 others were injured. The incident took place near Varuna Rasalpur bridge under Sarairanjan police station area. The deceased have been identified as Kamlesh Kumar alias Kamal, son of Sadavi Rai, resident of Kauwa Chowk, Halai OP area, and Chandan Kumar, son of Raghavendra Prasad Singh, resident of Pachbhinda village, Tajpur police station area. On receiving the information of the incident, the police reached the spot and sent the bodies of both to Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The injured are being treated in private clinics. It is said that this accident happened while going for dinner.

Relatives say that Kamlesh Kumar was going to Sarairanjan for dinner. Then he collided with the bike of Chandan Kumar coming from Patori. Three youths were riding on a bike. In this incident, Kamlesh and Chandan died on the spot while 4 people were injured who have been admitted to a private clinic in Sarairanjan.

Police engaged in investigation

As soon as the incident was reported, the local police reached the spot. Police sent both the bodies to Sadar Hospital for postmortem. Sadar DSP Sanjay Pandey says that the incident took place at around 11:00 pm when two youths died on the spot in a collision between two bikes while two seriously injured youths are being treated in a private clinic. He said that both the bikes involved in the accident have been seized. An FIR is being registered regarding the incident. Both the bodies have been sent to the hospital for postmortem after Panchnama.
